Technology - CyberSecurity

The CyberSecurity Program of study includes occupations and educational opportunities related to planning,implementing, upgrading, or monitoring security measure for the protection of computer networks and information. This program of study may also include exploration into responding to computer security breaches and virus ad administering network security measures.

Business Management

The Business Management program of study teaches CTE learners how to plan, direct, and coordinate the  administrative services and operations of an organization. Through this program of study, students will learn the skills necessary to formulate policies, manage daily operations, and allocate the use of materials and human resources. This program of study will also introduce students to mathematical modeling tools and organizational evaluation method

DECA Student Program

DECA is a student-led organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Texas DECA is proud to be the largest DECA association in the world, impacting over 16,000 members across the great state of Texas. Mozart’s DECA Chapter recently took 31 amazing students to compete in this year’s District Career Development Conference. These students competed in various categories such as Principles of Hospitality, Business Law and Ethics, and Sports Entertainment Marketing to name a few. Out of these 31 competitors, 12 qualified for the State Career Development Conference in Dallas, Texas. We are extremely proud of all of our students! They prepared by taking an exam, practicing their presentation skills and studying! Everyone gave it their all! Congratulations to all of our DECA Members and especially those that advanced to State!

 

Education and Training

The Teaching and Training program of study prepares students for careers related to teaching, instruction, and

creation of instructional and enrichment materials. The program of study introduces CTE concentrators to a wide

variety of students groups and their corresponding needs. It familiarizes them with the process for developing

curriculum, coordinating educational content, and coaching groups and individuals.

Vanguard Academy’s Cosmetology

 

Vanguard Academy’s Cosmetology course is a four-year program approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. This program involves taking classes in a variety of topics related to the field, such as hair styling, skin care, and nail care. Additionally, students are taught the basics of chemistry, biology, and anatomy as it relates to the field of cosmetology. Students also gain an understanding of business management and customer service. The curriculum offers hands on and classroom instruction that will help students prepare for the workforce. To complete the program, students must complete 1000 hours of classroom and laboratory instruction. Upon completion of the program, they are eligible to take the Texas Cosmetology Operator License exam. Once they obtain their license, students can begin working as professional cosmetologist.

 

Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security

The LPSCS program of study includes Planning, managing, and providing legal, public safety and protective services and homeland security, including professional and technical support services. This pathway is composed of students who have an interest in various criminal justice agencies, and provide students a better insight to these career paths.
