On Tuesday, March 9, 2021 Vanguard Beethoven Secondary theatre students competed at the UIL One Act Play bi-district competition in Harlingen, Texas. At the bi-district level, Beethoven was one of six schools that competed. The top two schools advanced to regionals in San Antonio, Texas and Beethoven was one of them! Congratulations go to the cast, crew and directors for advancing! This is a monumental accomplishment as this is the first year Beethoven Secondary competes at the high school level in UIL One Act Play. Cast included: Hector Marquez (All Star Cast Award), Alexa Zapata (All Star Cast Award), Natalie Garcia (All Star Cast Honorable Mention), Kiana Castro, and Emma Aguilera. Crew members were: Jahdaly Rios (Tech Award) & Joselynn Madeira
Mrs. Muñiz-Garcia (director) and Mr. Paul Alvarez (co-director) along with Mr. John Walker (co-director) are very proud of the students' hard work and dedication. San Antonio, here we come!
